The nature behind this work was developing the brand concept and naming for a gin. Our idea was to ultimately render an attractive end product featuring a craft-like style, which would serve the two-fold purpose of highlight the craftsmanship process behind its making and establishing a direct link to the care and craft-like features of our own creations for our clients.
We started off with the concept of a curse (maleficio, in Spanish), embodied in a wizard concocting a very special recipe, a magic potion of sorts that would awaken our senses and invite us to reveal the many flavours hiding in this liquor. A maleficio will fall on those who fail to drink it. We worked with an engraved-like type of illustration brimming with details and intricacies with a view to awakening consumers' sense of curiosity and luring them into analysing the label more intently. The hand-made lettering design strengthens the overall craft-like appearance of the brand. The decision to go for an elegant, sleek bottle, additionally, conveys even more transparently the premium nature of the end product. Without a doubt, the end result, the perfect blend of mystery and craftsmanship, stands as an invitation to taste this gin and become immersed in a magical moment.
